In the tenth edition of Future Food Series the topic was molecular farming. Using plants as recombinant protein hosts through molecular farming could be a viable way to transform the way we produce proteins. Molecular farming has been successfully used in the pharmaceutical industry for a long time – now it can be leveraged for the food industry.
