James Moss

James Moss was born into an agricultural community in South Africa and has almost 30 years’ US and international experience in FMGC, primarily in the functional areas of Commercial Sales and Finance. Since 2005 he has either been CEO or led the Commercial function for various PE and VC-backed emerging food and beverage brands/products, including B2B FoodTech and AgriTech platforms. Prior to 2005, he worked in larger organizations such as Cadbury Schweppes’ beverage division (Dr Pepper Snapple Group) in both London, UK and Dallas, Texas and GlaxoSmithKline’s Consumer Healthcare division in Los Angeles, California.

James’ ability to execute a strategy with smaller companies while implementing measurable benchmarks has assisted with the profitable growth of brands/products seeking to enter, or expand within, new markets. He is an active member within the US food and beverage industry, often contributing on boards and discussion panels at key industry events.

James has a B. Science in Business (Marketing) from the University of Colorado @ Boulder and an MBA (Finance) from the University of Denver. He also teaches Entrepreneurial Business part-time at the University of Colorado and lives in the US food-centric city of Boulder, Colorado with his wife and two daughters. An active outdoorsman, in his free time James enjoys mountain biking, hiking, skiing, and sailing.
